In the documentary Where to Invade Next, Michael Moore travels to different parts of the country to see what laws or methods they use and what the U.S could learn from the other countries.
How does Michael Moore establish ethos? Micheal Moore uses rhetoric to convince his audience that change needs to be made in the United States if they want to have a happy and peaceful world. He uses ethos when he "invades" Italy , he meets with a couple who talk about how they have 8 week paid vacation time. The couple then talk about traditions and their culture of what is the norm for them. Micheal Moore uses pathos when he is talking about the prisoners in Norway and how they are treated better than in the U.S . He shows video of prisoner treatment in the U.S that could bring you to tears when watched. Micheal Moore uses telos by ending with having his audience question why doesn't the U.S adopt the laws as the other countries he "invaded". The kairos of the film is telling his audience that there are other methods to handling certain situations and we could benefit from learning the other methods to make the world peaceful.
